Landscape & scenery photos from Slough Creek
First pool on Slough Creek up the trail. We encountered a Baetidae (BWO) hatch here in a slow eddy, in just the right weather, and started working on rising fish right away. The fish were all small, and we caught a few, in the only dry-fly action of our four-day backpack trip.

The trail up Slough Creek is one of the most well-trodden in the Yellowstone backcountry, but it still didn't feel crowded at all once we got beyond the first meadow.
