This 14.5-inch, beautifully crossed cutbow put up one of the best fights I've ever had from a fish anywhere near that size and was one of the most memorable of my 2018 Montana trip, despite not being in the top ten for length. I had to chase it a good distance downstream and thread my rod through some brush to bring it to hand. From Rock Creek in Montana.

Male Glossosoma alascense Saddle-case Maker AdultMale Glossosoma alascense  Saddle-case Maker Adult View 8 PicturesI lost track of this specimen before I could get it under my microscope, but caddis expert Dave Ruiter was able to identify it from pictures as Glossosoma, with an uncertain suggestion of G. alascense as the most likely species.
