whitehall michigan Posts: 2 | Can anyone recommend a good microscope for viewing/photographing macroinvertebrates? I have a basic scope from microscope depot, but the field of vision is too narrow and the halogen bulb is HOT! | |

Afton, NY Posts: 25 | I have turned cell phones and iPads into dissecting microscopes. It is relatively easy and inexpensive. The lighting can come from ambient light or LED flashlights. I have put directions that I have written on how to build your own Smart-D-Scope for less than $8.00 at; http://edengelman.com/smartDscope/smartDscope16P.pdf I have posted some of my pictures on Flickr https://www.flickr.com/photos/107447394@N07/sets/72157641718340454/ This information was previously posted on this board.
