These are both May browns and both pictures were taken by Tony, but the first one is 2011 and the second was caught last week. I thought of trying to pull ur legs by saying I shaved the goatee off but you all know I never tell a lie.

So long as you have the pictures to prove it Matt!

Beautiful fish, Matt. The black spotted variety of brown is something we don't see a lot of in local streams. I've been told that they are either Loch Levan or Seforellen strains.

Beautiful fish Matt!!
Glad to see you have sufficient water for the boat to be of use.
Hopefully we return to more typical rainfall patterns and keep a decent head of cold water thru the summer months.

I have honed my skills to such a high level that I can target the less common black spotted variety and leave those garishly colored showboats to lesser anglers :)

Nor would we have, perhaps - the ultimate clash of fishing egos!

Uh, that would be me...
All men who fish may in turn be divided into two parts: those who fish for trout and those who don't. Trout fishermen are a race apart: they are a dedicated crew- indolent, improvident, and quietly mad.
