Novi, MI Posts: 2608 | Chicago - a rock band of the late 60's early 70's that introduced horns to the genre For the record...I saw them at Goose Lake Music Festival in 1970...I was 16! What was my mom thinking letting me go...It was a piss poor attempt at a Woodstock repeat the following year near Jackson MI. Rod Stewart right after leaving Jeff Beck and recording the "Gasoline Ally" record. John Sebastian of Woodstock & Lovin' Spoonful fame. Alvin Lee & Ten Years After. Iggy & the Stooges. Savage Grace (You needed to have lived in MI). Leslie West & Mountain. Somewhere alone about here the memory fades... You may know who Jonny Lang is (modern day jazz practitioner of exceptional talent). That's just Spence trying to be hip again.:) ???I missed this one??? Since it sounds like you are from Chi-Town did you ever get to see Michael Bloomfield or Paul Butterfied? Spence

Northern CA & ID Posts: 2604 | Spence - Since it sounds like you are from Chi-Town did you ever get to see Michael Bloomfield or Paul Butterfied? Some times it feels that way, but no. I don't think passing back and forth through O'Hare twice a month for almost seven years counts. Those names sound familiar, but I don't think so. Was one of them a harmonica player? Isn't it a Jonny Lang song you were referring to with the Louise quote? Sorry, my mistake. Kurt

Novi, MI Posts: 2608 | Isn't it a Jonny Lang song you were referring to with the Louise quote? Sorry, my mistake. Nope...It was an ungodly obscure quote from an old Firesign Theater album called, "Don't Crush that Dwarf, Hand me the Pliers". I'm sorry, really. A good friend of mine and I developed a bad habit of quoting this LP in certain situations as young fellows...It was purely a knee-jerk thing on my part... Spence

Oscoda, MI Posts: 2611 | Poor Jesse, having his thread with beautiful photos of western trout being hijacked by...a bunch of old hippies!!! And what's playing in the back ground as I write this? "If Not For You", by Bob Dylan and being performed by George Harrison...guilty as charged! Jonathon

Post Falls, Idaho Posts: 38 | These truelly are some great photos Jesse. My complements to you and whoever took the photos. Being a good photographer isn't easy but taking pictures of trout like that and then releasing them unharmed is an art.

Oscoda, MI Posts: 2611 | Jesse, don't mind Spence. Why, when we were toddlers, our Mammas had to keep an eye on us to make sure we didn't get stepped on by a Stegosaurus! MO, if you don't make it out to Montana, you just might consider moving up here - the fishing is outrageous! As you may have perceived from my posts this year, and I've barely scratched the surface...trout lakes by kayak are my next adventure! And then there's fall-run steelhead...Don't worry, Spence, I'll keep him away from the South Branch, once MO hits the Rifle he'll be posessed and obsessed... Jonathon

Posts: 319 | Yeah, the fishing is outrageous out there... I have thought long and hard about moving up to that part of the world, and I'm still trying to figure out a way to make it happen.
