This beaver pond blocks a tributary in the headwaters if Willowemoc Creek in the Catskills. It supposedly holds brook trout, but I didn't find them in my hasty effort as light waned on this rainy September evening. From Fir Brook in New York.

This nice little brown fell for a Trico imitation on my -- oh, I don't know -- 10,000,000th cast? From the Neversink River in New York.

Despite the late date in the season, several caddisfly larvae remain on the rocks in this river.
