Oscoda, MI Posts: 2611 | Well, Wednesday I had ALL MY TEETH PULLED...in preparation for some permanent replacements. No choice...I was running out of teeth! Knowing several of my fellow Troutnurs are heading for their own operations, thought I would share some sympathy...yeah, IT HURTS. Enough that I'm willing to risk nausea with an opiate to kill pain...eventually this will all work out, but just to let my fellow patients know that whatever u go through in recovery, u have my sympathies!!! This too shall pass... Jonathon P.S. Bursts of hot summer-like weather turned my local lake into a salad bowl! Weedy, scuzzy, panfish left the beds already & lost aggression...time to go hit a proper TROUT STREAM!

Oscoda, MI Posts: 2611 | Thank you, gentlemen...still healing, stitches haven't dissolved & the temp dentures still not comfortable...takes time, right now my face is building new gum & bone cells to replace what got GROUND AWAY...not gonna feel good for a little while yet. Looks like I will be heading back to the Tawas area, getting some benthic work...including MIDGES! Gonna have to smash some heads...did about 1,000 back in grad school...hopefully the start of plenty of work! Hanging in there, drooling a lot, Jonathon

Bancroft, Michigan Posts: 23 | Well I’m back, couldn’t use my old name and pass word so I’ve got a fresh name and pic. I had my surgery last week and felt like hell most this week. Much better today, got the catheter out and that made huge improvement! Prognosis is good but it will take sometime and follow up blood test. Now I’m debating whether to go fishing or not next week. Doctor said just no heavy lifting, but I will see how I feel after the weekend. I’m definitely in a different frame of mind than last year, it’s been almost a year since this whole ordeal began, I’m feeling much better about my future. Take care, Mike.
