Landscape Pictures of Rivers, Page 40
The appeal of trout fishing is tied to the landscapes in which they live. They need the kind of clean, cold water found mostly in pristine rivers in pristine places that lend themselves to landscape photography. I've begun to take that hobby seriously too, although the best times of day for pictures conflict with the best times for fishing!
This above/below shot has Gonzo fishing on top and a beautiful tea-stained little Pocono stream on the bottom.

I took this picture on my way home from Homer, from one of the Denali overlooks on the Parks Highway a ways north of Talkeetna. That is an amazing drive at all times of year, and spring is no exception. The highest, most distant mountain visible is Denali / Mount McKinley, while the rest of the Alaska Range rises over the Chulitna River in the foreground.
This remote small brookie stream rarely gets fished, and perhaps for good reason. I couldn't find any trout.
An afternoon thunderstorm left mist in all the valleys along this limestone spring creek in Pennsylvania.
Denali in the background, towering over the rest of the Alaska Range and the Chulitna River in the foreground.
