The appeal of trout fishing is tied to the landscapes in which they live. They need the kind of clean, cold water found mostly in pristine rivers in pristine places that lend themselves to landscape photography. I've begun to take that hobby seriously too, although the best times of day for pictures conflict with the best times for fishing!
This is one of the smallest trout streams I've fished with much success, and one of the most fun. Not every pool held eager trout but there were enough to keep things interesting.

I had to really search for a while to find a sliver of opening water at this sampling site far in the headwaters of a mighty warmwater river.
The Fireweed here grows thick along many roadsides in Alaska, including the Richardson Highway here with a view of the glacial Delta River and the Alaska Range.

This gorge reportedly holds trout, and I would love to fish for them, although the stream's marginal thermal temperature would likely lead to disappointment. It's hard to find out because there doesn't seem to be a way to get down there without professional rock-climbing equipment or a helicopter...
