These odds and ends didn't fit into any of my other categories. Sometimes a really weird (or slightly twisted) picture opportunity presents itself and it's hard to can't pass it up. I think the oddest picture so far was the crayfish that grabbed my nymph and held on long enough for the camera.

Halibut bait. The herring cut herring is the main treat, but the pieces of octopus really stay on the hook. Combine them, and you'll have something down there to get the halibut to keep nibbling if it steals the herring.
Heading out on my first halibut-fishing trip. The gear is a little heavier than what I'm used to.

While I was taking pictures of the whitefish I caught, I heard loud splashing in the water upstream. Two caribou cows and their calves were crossing the river. (Only one calf is visible here.)
