A few nice trout were rising in this deep pool during the tail end of a morning Drunella hatch, but I didn't manage to fool them. From Brodhead Creek in Pennsylvania.

This is the first grizzly bear I've seen. It's in Denali National Park. People with long-range binoculars, plus the view through a couple spotting scopes the park installed at this stop, verified that the little light spot my arrow is pointing to is, in fact, a grizzly bear. This is the closest view I got. From Denali National Park in Alaska.

Here's the first of many new pictures of Alaska that I'll be putting online as soon as I get the chance. It's a panorama of my dad standing and looking across the valley of the river where we both caught our first arctic grayling an hour or so later.

You've got to see it full-size to appreciate it. From the Chatanika River in Alaska.
