Female
Maccaffertium ithaca
(Light Cahill) Mayfly Dun
View 10 Pictures
This female looks very much like
a male I collected
a few hundred miles away a few days later, so I'm guessing it's the same species, which I believe is
Maccaffertium mediopunctatum
.

Male
Maccaffertium vicarium
(March Brown) Mayfly Dun
View 10 Pictures
I collected this mayfly on the same trip as
a female
of the same species. After these photos it molted into
a spinner
. This is the form of
Maccaffertium vicarium
which anglers call the "Gray Fox."

Paragnetina
(Golden Stones) Stonefly Adult

Unfortunately I forgot to photograph this one next to the ruler, but I seem to remember it being on the small side for a Perlid, maybe around 2cm.

Female
Hexagenia atrocaudata
(Late Hex) Mayfly Dun

I found this lone
Hexagenia atrocaudata
dun fluttering by herself on the surface of a small, still stretch of river one evening as I paddled home from fishing for smallmouths in the warm August weather.

Epeorus pleuralis
(Quill Gordon) Mayfly Spinner

A few days earlier I photographed this same specimen
as a dun
. The changes between dun and spinner seem particularly dramatic in this species.
